## Why a journal

The tools have their own pages. But there's everything that happens **around**
the tools: technical choices, grumbling about this or that exotic file format,
usage feedback, small improvements that deserve a word beyond the commit
message.

That's what this journal is for.

## How it works

Each post is a plain Markdown file. No database, no backoffice that crashes on
a Sunday evening, no WYSIWYG that silently converts my straight quotes into
curly ones.

Rendering is done via Astro Content Collections. The file you're reading right
now is a `.md` in `src/content/journal/en/`, and the page you see is generated
from a single template `[slug].astro`.

- Notes on LocAtMe (the Navionics format gave me gray hairs)
- Probably a post on shared OVH hosting in 2026
- A reflection on why I insist on a single design system for four modules
